Weaving something new
Writing can make people smile or shiver, notice more in the world around them, capture a thought or moment. It can make businesses fly or help them remember who they are and what matters to them. It can be a way of informing, externalising, processing, or even making a change.
Who we are
Max Parfitt is a freelance producer, writer, and content creator based in London. After studying music at Oxford University, he worked with the Learning and Engagement department at Glyndebourne, and then with touring opera company Wild Arts. Having come on board to write their programmes and web content, he has since taken a regular production role, company managing their 2023 tour and semi-staged production of Handel’s Messiah, and producing their 2024 Summer Season.
As well as his work for Wild Arts, he has created programmes for Thaxted Festival, the London Mozart Players, Armonico Consort, and Voces8, and collaborates regularly with writers group 26 – editing their newsletter, contributing poems and articles, producing events, and sitting on their board. He also leads and assists with creative writing workshops, most recently for Scribeasy, working with children and young parents with special educational needs.
He established whiteweave in 2023 as a corner of the internet where any arts (musical, literary, poetic) could be shared, appreciated, and enjoyed.
